I don't think the field that you are working in is very relevant to the choice of qualitative content analysis. Instead, the key issue should be the goals that you are pursuing.
Than you David L Morgan for your reply. I am aware of the irrelevance of the qualitative content analysis methodology for my field, hence my question. My goal for my research is to find out the factors (in the farmers' opinions) that are responsible for their low economic state. What do you suggest? David L Morgan
As a general coverage of this kind of analysis, I recommend Graneheim, Lindgren, and Lundman (2017). The authors are nurses, but the points are useful regardless of field.
