Can I get guidance on summing scales of different constructs for additive effect?

I want to measure the effect of a variable that consists of four constructs. The four constructs have validates scales from different authors. The additive effect of the four constructs will indicate if this variable exist.

Can anyone help me with a paper that has used a summed score of different scales in its analysis?
