i need confirmation. I have extracted plant leaves and dissolved with 0.5% DMSO. However, the methanolic plant extract did not dissolve thoroughly. Do i need to dry again in oven or it might be the methanol extract does not fully evaporated while i removing solvent by rotary evaporator?
when you extract with MeOH, the crude extract should be the concentrated till dryness for further use. Normally the MeOH evaporates with water but some times it has water also which remain in the extract and does not evaporate

In my opinion you should try to sonicate your sample for complete dissolution, or you can try to make less concentrated solution. Some times higher concentration is not possible, so try to make different concentrations and sonicate for few minutes.

It should be in dry form. You can try spray drying or lyophilization.
First try different solvent such as ethanol then use different drying method... Also you may try to dray again by sonication or lyophilization

Dear colleague, i think there was a problem with the drying process (Inadequate drying) or the plant has excess oil. You may consider defatting.

Ethanol would indded be a solution for water removal during evaporation (azeotropic distillation).
if the plant contain excess oil. does it mean that the plant extract may hydrophobic ?
Yes, you can use dry plant extract, but keep one thing in mind, try to sonicate them to better dissolve them....
