Besides a basic manual, the page provides excellent video tutorials on how to do it. It is not R but probably the easiest way to get something out of Landsat data with little time effort.

You can do the analysis in Arc GIS and consult following site:

Dear Dr.Indra Prakash. Thank you very much for your helpful and concern. But I am challenging with the Land sat 7 data have a line scan error and i try to remove through focal analysis and it seems the result is more general.

therefor am assuming that if i used R to download the data and process using R software it may be reduce the generalization of the pixels value accordingly.

or if there is any method to remove the land scan errors in Landsat 7 is also an important for me.
