If yes, how?
I would like to visualize the result of a monitoring in QGIS. The sampling points are shown as point shape file on the map. I would like to add the taxa list as a chart (incl. species name, abundance etc.) to the points. Is it possible if yes how?
If you could provide written material on data processing and evaluation methods in this program I would be grateful!

Jan's answer is good but that is actually an attribute join. Your taxa would need a common ID in both punt files which you will not have in these types of data.
1) Convert your TAXA to a shapefile.

2) Then you actually want a spatial join point-point.

not an attribute join.
all point data imported in qgis/arcgis need x and y coordinates, like climate data, temperature......for interpolation
