"Influence of Low Dosage Hydrate Inhibitor on Methane Clathrate Hydrate Formation and Dissociation Kinetics", there PVP was compared, as a LDHI control group.
I actually want to know if PVP can somehow enhance the nucleation stage, to further delay the induction time and / or increase nucleation rate, although it sounds very peculiar... but maybe at some "magic but tragic" concentrations or against specific gas water systems? I would like to start collecting some experimental data and see into this. I doubt if the inhibiting effect of PVP on nucleation can simply be taken as universal against all hydrate systems.
