Can you help to identify this crab?
Obtained from the Persian Gulf
Almost less than 25 mm size
It's look like porcellanid crab
I agree with porcellanid crab (e.g. Pisidia, Porcellana) for only the last pair of legs are reduced in size and positioned dorsally.
Hi
A porcelain crab. Might be a Petrolisthes sp. I would suggest you contact Dr. Masayuki Osawa, Shimane University for porcelain crab identification. His email id is: [email protected]. He might of great help for species ID.
Regards
Prakash
