Are you just looking for test data? I don't know whether it would be appropriate for your needs, but there are government agency sites with official statistics, and they might be able to supply you with some of the micro-data they obtained from cross-sectional surveys. One such US Govt site would be for the US Energy Information Administration:

You could make a request to them through the following email address:

[email protected]

There are a lot of time series data on the (US) weather on

http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/

But, as I noted, I'm not certain these data are what you are seeking.
