It may not be an exaggeration to state that the human evolution commenced with the acquiring of knowledge to find suitable mineral pieces namely, Chert and Flint to light fire and to shape large rock fragments as stone tools to chop meat, and to make spearheads etc. Since then, every evolutionary development and or significant advancement of civilization occurred at every stage of acquiring additional knowledge on the earth and earth materials; for example, change from nomads to settlers (finding suitable caves for dwelling – Stone Age), hunter-gatherer life-style to cultivation (finding suitable landscape and perennial freshwater sourcefor agriculture); learning to find suitable ores for metal extraction and production of tools for livelihood – Iron Age), establishment of village-fiefdoms to kingdoms (learning to produce alloys from multiple ores and minerals – Bronze Age), sophistication of life and the advent of modern man (Copper Age – learning to extract precious metals and making jewelry for adorning deities and others), learning to locate and extract fossil fuels, large scale mining of other metals and ores(Industrial era) and finally the Computerized era (modification natural minerals to produce chips, production of nuclear energy, etc.) can be cited as evidences of coeval nature of human evolution and advancement of exploration methods of ores and minerals.
