Dear Researchers
I have a crude extract sample that has been analyzed using both FTIR and GC-MS techniques. I would like to inquire whether it is possible for certain compounds detected by GC-MS to have functional groups that are not identified by FTIR.
Additionally, in your expert opinion, which of the two techniques is considered more precise and advanced for compound identification in complex mixtures?
