I have found numerous article regarding determination of optical properties of different materials using PL spectra (photo-luminescence) but didn't find any papers/articles/journals regarding "determination of optical properties using fluorescence spectra". Is there any specific reason behind that?
The phenomenon of photoluminescence includes fluorescence and phosphorescence, but the term PL is almost exclusively used for inorganic semiconductors.

As a definition, Photoluminescence is when light energy, or photons, stimulate the emission of a photon. It takes on three forms: fluorescence, phosphorescence and chemiluminescence. Fluorescence is a type of luminescence caused by photons exciting a molecule, raising it to an electronic excited state.
So, fluorescence is a type of PL. Therefore PL is more general than the Fluorescence

The reason I asked this question was, I want to calculate PL intensity (re-emitted spectra) for inorganic semiconductor in FDTD software and I found a fluorescence enhancement examples in Lumerical FDTD. Later I realized that may be fluorescence enhancement may be not the procedure to calculate PL or Fluorescence intensity. Can we measure the emission spectra or PL spectra for a sample in FDTD software?

Though PL spectra for a material can be determined analytically, can you please tell me if there is way to determine the PL spectra for a material or structure in software like FDTD (I hardly found any paper related to the procedure to calculate PL spectra using FDTD software, though I found some papers which mentioned that they used FDTD to calculate the PL spectra)?

Hugh J Byrne for example, lumerical fdtd is a photonic simulator which can be used to solve maxwell's equation for photonic devices and can determine different photonic spectra such as absorption, scattering of a different sample and other various properties. the first element of a "photonic device" is the active material, so you should start with the section on Multi-coefficient Models - in which it indicates several material - I don't know whether it calculates these spectra or whether you have to input experimental spectra, and in the case of the former, what parameters are needed.
