For highly water soluble drugs you can use but for hydrophobic drugs some concerned question may be raised because in few cases presence of drugs in the beaker further reduce the drugs solubility in significant manner.
So ......... saturation solublity is main concerned for such extrapolatation
Thanks a lot, the drug is quite water soluble but I suspect saturation would play a problem as well, esp that it is a salt base drug.

As per USP you would find aqueos solubility classification.
I am sorry but "Quite water soluble" is not an technical way to classify the drug.
Hope You would compare your drugs solublity and identify in which class your drugs solublity lie.
