Once you have dealt with the ectopic by salpingotomy or salpingectomy it is safe to perform chromopertubation to assess the other tube but would do it under antibiotic cover. Professor Chris Sutton.
I have done it in the past without antibiotics coverage but antibiotics coverage makes sense. However, performing chromotubation during ectopic pregnancy surgery is not standard of care but could be a very useful adjunct especially in a patient that desires future fertility.
