Roger Penrose in the book Cycles Of Time requires all mass and energy to be converted to electromagnetic radiation. This is the sequential end of time in an old universe 3D not 4D and the setting of entropy, the arrow of time to zero.
Other researchers allow parallel universes, example matter universe and antimatter universe, with only gravity passing from one to the other. From Richard Feynman we get the possibility that the antimatter universe goes backward in time, and an explanation of why we don't find much of it in view.
Year before last my research project on high speed in deep space evaluated the Penrose model, with conclusions. If 3D is true vacuum then our 4D is a false vacuum. A number of researchers have written about false vacuums with the claims that collapse of a false vacuum converts everything it contains to light and gamma radiation, also a collapse of false vacuum in one place destabilizes the near by spaces causing the collapse to propagate to the entire universe.
In my project some discoveries were made related to the question. First the kinetic energy of an object was found to travel as a type of stress energy wave in the object and close by local space, a type of frame dragging predicted in General Relativity. Albert Einstein recommended such a conclusion in his Autobiographical Notes of 1949. Next my project discovered that extreme high kinetic energy exceeds the capacity of local space to contain the wave, leading to a change of quantum state. In the Penrose system a U process ends in an R process of state reduction.
For the present purpose quantum state of local space is expressed in spin angular momentum of the stress energy wave. A quantum increase in spin angular momentum gives the local space additional capacity to contain the kinetic wave energy. This only occurs very close to light speed, such that GR describes well almost everything. Other researchers have written about Squeezed Quantum States, Scale Relativity, and Hierarchy of Plancks.
As acceleration of an object continues, the quantum state can boost again, until the spin angular momentum is about 5 time the normal. Some writers say 8 times the normal is possible. At 5 times normal the forward looking CMB temperature is Doppler shifted to such high temperature that the object is destroyed.
A unique case occurs at 4 time normal spin angular momentum. Calculations predict the spontaneous opening of a worm hole around the object powered by the kinetic energy. This 4D wormhole is in 6D space time or possibly 12D. Example is a high speed space vehicle accelerated equal to Earth gravity for one year. Other writers from decades ago predicted that every interstellar journey would take 2 years no matter how far the distance, when time is measured by the travelers.
With altered quantum states around and inside a fast vehicle, the possibility arises that universal collapse of false vacuum might not destroy the vehicle. It raises the possibility of exception to the Penrose model with possibility of life and wisdom coming to us from a previous universe. Reasonably small extensions are made to established science, but subject to debate and testing, Opinions are invited.
Can Anything Pass From One Universe To Another?

From general relativity it seems space(time) is identical to the pure gravitational field. If this field is infinite (no boundaries to complicate things), the field would likely be unstable, with regions of expansion (like ours) balanced by regions of compression, for a net energy of zero. One universe, then, with some regions undergoing accelerated expansion and others undergoing accelerated compression -- perhaps with dramatic effects at the extremes. If only one universe, then only one set of natural constants, and no "multi-verse" of somewhat common concern, and endless possibilities of life as we know it in regions of expansion, and who knows in regions of contraction.
It might be more of a question if multiple universes actually exist. Just because elements of our universe might not be accessible to our senses or instrumentation does not necessarily mean that there's more than one universe. It just means that at a particular moment in time we're unable to discern EM energy signatures approaching toward or receding from us in excess of lightspeed.
When curvature reaches the degree at which nothing can escape, like inside the event horizon of a black hole (if such things actually exist), two realms become separated from one another; entities on either side of the invisible wall are unable to communicate with one another. Is this to say that their domains reside in separate universes? Or are they merely extensions of the same universe?
It may be that there are holes within holes within holes. And it might be that each of the incremental realms is linked with other realms exhibiting the same degree of curvature. They are simply similar stages of EM compression delineated by waves traveling at lightspeed within their respective realms. The fact is that if you accelerate in any direction, you will ever-so-slightly dimensionally shift and change the domain of what appears to you to be the far reaches of your ascertainable universe. Of course, you wouldn't be aware of it, never-the-less, the boundaries of your domain would marginally shift.
And it might be that what we take as the all-encompassing universe in which we live and breathe is but a minute spec within a three-dimensional tapestry extending forever. Maybe there are infinite realms both of higher and lower degrees of curvature. The question of whether they should be considered as one unified continuum or if we should characterize them as being distinct individual domains is an issue of semantics and one of how each of our mind's individual thinking processes has been engineered.
