East coast of Malaysia recently hit by massive flood. About 200 thousands of people affected by this massive flood. I'm planning a research to carry out at flood hit area. Can anyone suggest the type of research (Entomology) that we can conduct at the post flood area?

Comare biodevesity before fluid and after or take a look on recolanization rates.
You may also like to survey insects looking for new exotic species, especially species accidentally introduced because of relief efforts. How about something that looks at vector mosquitoes and the recolonization of aquatic predators? Or something that looks at the processes that affect the re-establishment of insect communities.
A simple survey study or awareness of Neglected Tropical diseases at post flooded area would be cool..
You may also study the mosquitoe populations, specially those of medical importance and how to control them with Romanomermis culcivorax, a parasitic nematode that control mosquitoes. Romanomermis culicivorax live in slow-moving freshwater and in the substrate at the bottom of these bodies of water. These include ponds and lakes. Larval stages parasitize larval mosquitoes.
you could carry out a simple pit-fall trap study to assess the the terrestrial insect fauna.
