I am working with extraction of metabolites from Barley crop. I am interested to know some of the best methods for the chlorophyll removal from the grinded extracts of barley leaf samples. I would like to further use my samples for LS-MS and thus want to avoid any kind of coagulation .

Activated carbon would be the best since you want to do a metabolite analysis later.
With solvents - say methanol/ acetone it is possible that many other compounds will also be removed.
Other people already asked some thing similar. I guess you can extract chlorophylls with some non-polar solvents. Please find attached some links that would be help full. All the best!
