I am going for experimental set up for visible light communication in my lab. Can anyone suggest me proper LED modulator of any company like thorlab etc. I read many literature papers but couldn't found proper explanation on LED modulation. Low data rate would be fine as LED has low 3dB frequency (low modulation bandwidth).

What you should concern about is more than just the bandwidth, also modulation depth and non-linearity effects and noise property. It's highly suggested that you build the modulator and equalizer on your own, which can suit the LED chips you are choosing as you wish. For higher bandwidth modulation, methods like equalization, optical blue filter or choosing a better designed LED chip are suggested.
