Barry Hewlett's student Adam Boyette (a coauthor on that paper) did his PhD on cultural transmission among Aka children, and spoke on this at the AAAs last year.

Children's traditions were studied in England long ago by Opie & Opie, they wrote at least one book on geographical distributuion of games with rules and discuss traditions.
