Could anyone possibly suggest any good books regarding the problem of science taking part of the culture or the evolution of mankind? I am more interested in analytic works, rather than historical ones.
I do not know if the following book, which describes the future in research is what you are looking for:

I have taken up a similar study but on the side of technology and its impact on society. With technology it is easier to study such effects and some of it might be directly linked to the underlying science. '

If not directly at least these references can give you other views on how to tackle the problem and hopefully provide you with other references
