There is a software product called AllProps that I have used for years. It is published by the Center for Applied Thermodynamic Studies at the University of Idaho. The links below will get you to it. AllProps includes the properties of CO2. In the database there's a flag that indicates which equation of state is used for each substance. Find the one for CO2 and look in the documentation to see which one they have selected. I don't have it on my computer at work or I'd be able to get at it now. The NIST web site is also a very good reference. It has most everything.

The best standard is based on the EOS given by Span & Wagner, see bellow

R. Span, W. Wagner:A new equation of state for carbon dioxide covering the fluid region from the triple point temperature to [1100] K at pressures up to 800 MPa. J. Phys. Chem. Ref. Data, 25 (1996), pp. 1509–1596.

It is a complete EOS and you can find it in the NIST Refprop database or other computer models. (ThermoFluids - http://www.thermo.rub.de/de/prof-w-wagner/software/thermofluids.html)

I recommend the EOS of EOS given by Span & Wagner.

Came across this whilst googling something else.

Use TREND. It's the modern development of S&W96 coming out of Roland Span's group. Deals with complex impurities. And uses Jager & Span 2012 for the solid phase.

Several numerical approaches exist to its implementation, including mine: IJGGC 2016 54 716-726.

Or there are simpler numerical approaches for pure CO2, e.g. mine again AIChE 2013 59 3928-3942, built from Peng-Robinson gas phase, S&W in the liquid phase and Jager & Span into the solid phase for CO2 atmospheric dispersion.

Hi Sandeep, the Span Wagner EoS is very robust for your purposes.

But I suggest you also the Yokozeki EoS for CO2 (DOI: 10.1023/A:1024015729095). It is very useful for managing all CO2 aggregation states (S-V-L) and has a physical basis.
