I have a paper where I use interview as a method to understand how intuition plays out during personnel selection. I try to move away from the dominant framework of quantitative studies which have tried to document analytical decision making in personnel selection, and instead suggest an alternate theorization for intuition using ideas from Sociology. I want to publish this as a journal paper. But the word count is massive (16,000). To my mind, it’s not because the paper is sloppy/unfocused; if I cut down sections, I will just lose the argument. Can anyone suggest a management journal which accepts qualitative method and a fairly lengthy paper? I am happy to publish this as a book chapter as well, but not aware if there is any book coming up which focuses on ideas of practice in organizational studies; decision making; qualitative method etc. I am really keen on publishing this paper… any suggestion would be very helpful…
