If you want to get 3D image probably photogrammetry is a solution. I did try with success COLMAP->PMVS->MESHLAB, and with that You can try with any DSLR and system of repositioning or set of cheap cameras. Here is my try, angel figure with modest set: kitchen table, poor lighting and 10x5mpx photographs with K3II DSLR. I will try with pixel shift in future for a specific more engineering type tasks. I don't know exactly how far You wanna go with the quality of image. Data sample should be well suited. Just select what suits yours needs better. I did work with 3D scanners with full color scanning Smarttech SCANBRIGHT Dual Volume. It also was fine for many tasks. You then can also get an any scanner of that type as an option. I hope that I helped a bit.
