Suggest Company and Rough Price in USD.We have to do chemical specification i.e metals, ions and carbonaceous constituents for size segregated aerosols.
Cascade impactors are costly. If you want only size segregation, and particle number concentrations you can go for optical particle counters (OPC) or SMPS...all available in NPL, Delhi, etc. However, if you want size-segregated chemical characterization you have to choose from the lot Stefan provided....i.e for offline chem analysis.
On-line analysis is done by ATOFMS (Time of Flight Mass Spectr)...I think also available in NPL.
Ramesh Verma - depends on the impactor, the flowrate, the stage cut-offs. e.g., for an Andersen impactor at 28.3l.min-1, the respirable fraction is the sum of stages 3, 4, 5 / total (depending on the product, the regulatory agency and other factors).
We make the most cost effective cascade impactors, both six stage viable, and 8 stage non viable. Also zero cutoff stages for high flow rates. Lab Automate Technologies Inc.
