Can anyone recommend any articles or books about optical ceramics, transparent ceramics, and the interpretation of physics law on that?

I think what you're looking for is in the Solid State physics domain. If that's the case then i would recommend:
Introduction to Solid State Physics (Wiley: New York, 2004), Charles Kittel
in response to the comment above, Kittel's book is very high level, hard to read and understand and is not practical about application.
I recommend instead: "electronic properties of materials" by Rolf E. Hummel
About 1/3 of the book is relative to optics. It does cover the optical properties of all materials, including ceramics.

I recommend "Introduction To Ceramics" a book by W.D. Kingery. In this book , there are some chapters which includes the optical and transparent ceramics.
