Hi all, I would like to tackle learning R programming, but I have zero foundation to start. I know there a lot of online tutorials and MOOCs, but I know my style of learning and I really need the first part to be in a classroom setting. I'm trying to find a good week long course offered somewhere that I might be able to attend (right now the location is irrelevant but ideally somewhere in Europe would be be easiest). I would love any recommendations!
I primarily want to use R to analyze big data (i.e. RNA Sequencing etc) as well as importing and analyzing data from public datasets. I'd also like to be able to make some useful data graphics in the end.

Hello, I would advice you to look at DataCamp Intro in R (www.datacamp.com). Secondly, very-very good book is "R for Data Science: Import, Tidy, Transform, Visualize, and Model Data
by Hadley Wickham, Garett Grolemund. Finally, you can learn Introduction to R for Data Science (Microsoft - DAT204x (EdX)). Good luck!

I tried Coursera already, but quickly lost interest because everything is online-based to learn. I really need the classroom instructional component to keep my attention on topic. I'm hoping once I have a small foundation (via a course) I can tackle an online course again as well.
Not in person, but I recommend Jose Portilla's course on Udemy: https://www.udemy.com/data-science-and-machine-learning-bootcamp-with-r/. His courses tend to be interesting and easy to follow with a wealth of information.
