I intend to conduct a research study based on Dweck's theory of mindsets (also implicit personality theories, or self-theories). I am looking for a tool for measuring a mindset in students.
Dweck's growth mindset is built on a large amount of motivation research on goals and goal orientation, particularly focusing on mastery goal orientation. Most of that research was conducted using the Patterns of Adaptive Learning Scale (PALS) and the Achievement Goal Orientation Questionnaire (AGOQ). Both of these instruments do a good job identifying and differentiating between different types of goal orientation, which in combination with locus of control can indicate a person with a growth mindset.
However, if you just want a scale, here is a website that offers a scale to assess what you are looking for: https://survey.perts.net/share/toi

I have the same question as Rachel (above). Is the DMI an open source? Does anyone know how to obtain a scoring manual for the DMI??? Can't find it anywhere... Thanks!
