Many researchers come to big data from other areas but are not specifically "tagged" for big data jobs or research. Any angle of treating big aata sciences in a higher educational institute would be appropriate.
They look ok but 2 of these seem to be only on-line, am I right?
I was hoping to find (only?) good on-campus full courses with 'real teachers'. That I suppose is becoming a problematic issue, everyone is going on-line, soon all the students will only have the on-line option. Teachers' jobs will be reduced both in number and in nature.
Considering these reflections, can someone say which might be the best of these 3 options? There must be other options?
From here on, I hope we will only be speaking of (mainly) on-site courses, I know all may be have a bit of both types of 'delivery'.
Oh and Martin, the content of the Indiana MOOC looks to be "dead on" the topic and quite appropriate. How often do they meet the teacher(s)? I hope there is not just one teacher handling the whole thing. Some jobs slid off the slate here?
Thank you for these answers, as I recently became interested in BG, I wrote a commentary about the social aspects of it, cf my publications within RG or discussion here and in : https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/big-data-global-shift-colin-schmidt
