I need split Hopkinson pressure bar apparatus in india for compression testing of the aluminum foams at high strain rate. Can any one provide any support ?
does it have to be India? If not, you might consider either Lorenzo Peroni, or his brother Marco.
With the former, we had a number of publications on Al foams and high strain rate testing, namely the one which I think I already sent to you (hope I am not mixing something up here) in International Journal of Crashworthiness.
The latter has recently published a paper on SHPB testing of metal foams in a related special issue of "Materials" which I am co-editing. As far as I know, he is quite active, too, in further developing his equipment. I attached a second link to the paper in "Materials" - since this is an OpenAccess publication, you can directly access it.
Best regards,
Dirk

Article AlSi7 metallic foams- Aspects of material modelling for crash analysis
You can use SPHB(split Hopkinson pressure bar) complete setup(strain gauge, momentum trap, transmission bar, incident bar, speed sensor, amplifier and conditioner data acquisition system, to conduct test under high strain loading. materials steel, titanium or aluminum for testing of composites ( to keep the impedance mismatch within close range softer materials like Aluminum should be preferred. However, lack of hardness results in deformation of Aluminum bars---)would be highly preferred. Operation of SPHB shall be done using PLC controller. Must calibrate SPHB apparatus before tests. analyze calculation tests of incident pulse and transmission pulse results, comparison of force vs time behavior derived from strain gauges(stress vs. strain), effect of aspect ratio of composite loaded etc.
You can use apparatus to conduct this tests at Mechanical Department, IIT Delhi. You can esquire instrument at IIT Delhi.
