Many countries do not disaggregate data by gender in much of the data produced. I think many countries are currently receiving technical support to update their statistical capacity to have gender-disaggregated data.

If you check Living Standards surveys, usually this data is disaggregated by gender, but I don't think the data coverage is sufficient for it to be covered in the ILO database (guessing). So if you have some specific countries to cover, you could request from the National statistical service some data from living standards surveys. Often the names of the surveys will not be in English, which will make it less searchable, but it will always be the national statistical service (except in a handful of cases where an IO fills in) that compiles this data. But that would be a ridiculous amount of work to put all that together, and data collection methods will differ a lot across countries in the absence of a standardizing methodology of an international organization, which would significantly hamper cross-country comparisons, as compared to the more standard methods (correct?) of ILO data.

Anyways, Living Standards Surveys/Questionnares can provide gender-disaggregated data and also have info on education of household heads, but often enough not of non-household heads (i.e., you wont get education level for most women). But if you limit the number of countries in the study or are willing to tolerate comparisons which exclude education information for non-household heads, then perhaps you can get rolling with something here.

You can make use of UNIDO database. It consists industry level wages, but I am not sure whether it disaggregates according to gender. Also, it may have a lot of missing data.

Not really. For some developing countries like India the National Sample Survey (NSS) data does have gender-based data including wages. Otherwise, for low income countries and developing countries in general, such dataset may not always exist.

You can install the KILM database user interface on a laptop to query for relevant data. KILM is updated regularly when you are connected to the internet. KILM does explicitly contain mean monthly wages, and it does contain many variables which according to me can be used as proxies to estimate wages, speciated according to gender as well. Worth having a peek at I think. Might suit your requirements.
