To investigate how self efficacy of primary school teachers is influenced by the sources of self-efficacy as hypothesized by Bandura (1997) (i.e.mastery experiences, vicarious experiences, verbal persuasion and psychological/ physical arousal) I would like to use a valid scale suitable for teachers in primary education.

A friend of mine recently completed her PhD on Teacher Motivation. Her participants included both Primary and Secondary teachers in Victoria, Australia. She used the Teacher sense of efficacy scale - short form created and validated by Tschannen-Moran and Woolfolk Hoy (doi:10.1016/S0742-051X(01)00036-1).

I am in search for a valid scale to meassure the sources of self-efficacy. For TSE I would like to use the TSES short version from Tschannen-Moran and Woolfolk-Hoy.
I think I will follow prof Locke's suggestion and design my own scale!
THE MSLQ has a self efficacy scale and the subscales can be used independently.
You can access Ralf Schwarzer´s scale through the link below. What is particularly useful about his scale is that he talks you through how he has developed it. This means that you can develop yours or modify his, using the guidelines.
