I am designing the optimal HESS capacity for the renewable system.
I have to select the cutoff frequency of low pass filter to divide the low and high-frequency components.
charge and discharge cycles increase with the frequency.
same is the effect on maximum required capacity i.e low cutoff frequency implies low power capacity required for low-frequency components.
There is a trade-off between depth of discharge and no. of cycles. But, at this stage, I cannot measure the DoD due to the fact that I don't have rated capacity.
So, is there any way to define the optimal cutoff frequency?
