Recently I took some photos of this spider in a cave in the northern Peruvian Andes. Can anyone identify the Species, Genus or Family?
Thank you very much !
Hello dear Stefan Ziemendorff the specimen of pictures is not a spider, this specimen is a harvestmen an arachnid that belongs to Opiliones Order.
Best regards

After carefully comparing photos and geographic aspects - i think it is maybe a species from family Stygnidae - any opinions ?
Hi Stefan,
I do not think that it is a species from family Stygnidae. I think it is from family Travuniidae as Djillali said.
Please find the attached link for an important article. Hope that it is of value for you.

Wafaa

Dear Wafaa, dear Djillali: But is it true, that there are no Travuniidae at all in Southamerica ? That is my doubt.
There are no Travuniidae in South America.
Could be one Stygnidae or one Cosmetidae.
I suggest you to contact Adriano Kury ([email protected]) or Abel Perez Gonzalez ([email protected]). Both are specialist and can give you a more precise answer.
Cheers,
Camilo
