We have successfully investigated a new application for scintillator modified linear CCDs. However, the software coming with the evaluation board is very crude and we need someone with skills to develop a user-friendly interface where a grabbed profile from the CCD is analysed and presented in a windows environment.
I would try with

which does not cost you anything, is relatively self-explaining and includes a lot of acquisition plugins for most boards and cameras.
Otherwise, you can adventure into the ImageJ / Fiji world, where you get a lot of support online from other users. These are also for free (see links below).

Luca, thank You so much for Your answer. I´ve have now looked into the software and besides "imagej" it looks like it´s hard to retrive data from a linear CCD, i.e 1x XYZ pixels. Micro-manager does not support linear sensors (?)
Did you manage to get a reading with ImageJ?
