In a cylindrical FDTD code, with a closer look at descritized Maxwell equations, one can see that for different values for j indice (which indicates the angle) and for r=0 the values of the fields can be different. Physically, at r=0 we have degeneration and for every angle, field should be the same. But in my code, Ef and Hr calculated at r=0 have angle dependence, despite this degeneration. I've removed the singularity at this point using modified versions of Ampere and Faraday's law for this point (r=0), but the angle dependency insists. Ez on the other hand, at r=0 appears to be constant, as it should be. Why degeneration occurs only at z-component?
