Can anyone help with an Accustage MDplot question?

I have been using MD plot for plotting tracer labeled cells in brain sections. I used MDplot at my previous lab and am now using it at my current lab. At my old lab we were able to export MDplot files to Adobe Illustrator. At my new lab my MDplot doesn't seem to have this option. I'm only able to save the files as .mdf or .mdo files. Does anyone know how to either export to AI files or convert the .mdf or .mdo files to something usable? Unfortunately Accustage closed so I can't contact them for assistance.
