Dear Dr. Cyril Iaconelli , thanks for valuable suggestions. Yes, I have an approach to 16S-RNA sequencing method and going to amplify DNA for correct identification of the gut bacteria.
Dear Dr. Jun Wang,
Thank you for your reply, I checked the bacteria culture but it does not smells like fish. As, I mentioned above to Dr. Dr. Cyril Iaconelli, I am going to sequence 16S rRNA gene for detailed identification.
It will be honor for me If you share experience of gut microbes.I am working on gut bacteria of honeybees.
By the way, be careful on "olfactory" methods, those are "old" methods and are somehow dangerous if the contaminent is pathogen... Please note that pathogens are present in well proportion in gut (well... at least in human gut microbiota).
is it a pure culture?, well, I couldn't see the full plate. If it is a pure culture, I would go for MALDI-TOF, which can perfectly identify within minutes. Of course if you have access to this automated device.
