Maybe some of the smaller eggs could be from parasites, e.g.

were they in one single mass? can you send the picture of the eggmass? If so, the rounded could be nutritive eggs to be eaten by the others.
Also the pigments are more common in shrimps than in mollusks.
please give us more info. And if you can keep them for 2 weeks you will be able to know better
