I am a research scientist .. actually, i am working on speaker recognition over VoIP networks .. i am looking for code sources of VoIP speech coders (G.729, G.711, G.723.1 .... ) to transcod my database, in order to study the effect of VoIP speech coding on the performance of speaker recognition over VoIP networks .. can you help me ? .. You should check the ffmpeg and libav projects, they have implementations and source codes for some of the most popular Codecs. You can check them here:

You can also check the Opus Codec, which aims to be the new standard for VoIP communications:

And you can also check the code Skype released for their SILK codec, but it might be a bit outdated:

The ITU-T G.xxx coders all have reference code in fixed-point C and text vectors to ensure proper implementation.
You can download them free-of-charge on the ITU site (www.itu.int). Go to "standardization" and then "publications".

Ayoub, did you publish anywhere results of your study on influence of particular codecs on speaker recognition systems? Or does anyone know any publications where specific codecs are studied?
Marcin ... actually, i am writing a paper on the influence of some codecs on the performance of speaker recognition systems .. yes there are many studies which have been conducted in this direction.
