Almost all the Asian cities have a historical process behind what they are today. If smoothly insights it reveals a huge relationship in between the natural environment and the settlement pattern. I want to compare the evolutionary process of Asian countries in contrast to the European Countries.

A current recommended book by Shlomo Angel, Planet of Cities, shows the quantitative-spatial evolution of selected cities around the world, including European cities.
