I am doing EIS measurements on salphen-type polymers but the samples are not stable and dissolve to the electrolyte during the measurement. Why is this happening?
A DCM electrolyte is being used for both the synthesis and EIS measurements. I believe the AC signal is helping the dissolution. I am applying a 10 mV AC signal in a 1 - 100.000 Hz range. DC applied potential ranges from 0 to 1.2 V vs Ag/AgCl.
Will an aqueous electrolyte provide more stability?
