I did photocatalytic hydrogen production experiments using TiO2 as a catalyst and i got around 3.0mmol g-1h-1 and used 300W Hg/Xe lamp. I need to calculate quantum efficiency. if anybody experts in this can u suggests me how to calculate?
It's not easy. Briefly. You need to use collimator lenses to create a rather narrow light beam and use the reactor with a flat wall. I would also use two cut off filters to have a light with a desired range of wavelengths. The total amount of photons irradiated by the light source can be measured/calculated by a light power meter. I would attempt to use conditions when all light is absorbed in the reactor. There are numerous examples described in the literature.
