I am confused by the mechanism of optical limiting by AgNPs colloidal solution at 800 nm and 1064nm. I have seen some publications and they explained it by two photon absorption at 1064 (2.3 eV). Some of them explained it by SA+2PA at 800 nm (3.1+1.55=4.6 eV). Actually interband transition energy of AgNPs is ~4 eV. So at both 800 and 1064 nm, how can 2PA be responsible for RSA? Or is there any other mechanism?

AgNP (I presume silver NPs) have LSPR at ~420 nm with reasonable broadness (~20 nm- 100 nm) depending on various factors. That makes a case for two photon absorption at both the wavelengths. (Note that 800 nm , fs pulse will also be broad). But 1064 nm is nowhere near 2.3 eV. Redo your numbers.
