Not sure of your exact question here - but if you want to know your own personal h-index in ISI - then you have to set up your own personal IR account with them
Thank you for your valuble reply Mr. Dean Whitehead. My doubt is to know one of the journals Thompson ruetors IF. But that journal was indexed in SJR & H index. So y asked about the convertion of H index in to Thompson ruetors IF?
Devang - a very good response. I think that you might have 'caught the essence' of this question. Personally, I wasn't quite sure what was being asked.
I like to thank Dr. Devang Pandya for his clear explanation about SJR. How to apply for h index of a researcher? What is the value of h index to a researcher in international research credit?
Parthasarathi - probably best for you to click on the 'topic' tab above - and then type in 'h index' as one of your topics to search. It should come up with an automatic prompt - and will lead you to quite a few questions (some with long links) about the value of h-index and other such metrics
I just came across the same situation as Parthasarathi and upon reading this thread I thought that perhaps the question can be formulated in a slightly different way: if I computed the IF and h-index on - say - 50 authors, would these two series of h-indexes and IFs have a strong direct correlation? If I regressed one series against the other, would the "beta" allow me to estimate a given author average IF by just knowing his/her h-index? If h-index and IF are related in a linear fashion, perhaps I could derive a coefficient that helps me convert h-index into IF and vice versa?
