can anyone assist me with the preparation of GelMA?

I am unable to properly synthesis GelMA using the current protocol that im using,

the amount of GelMA obtained after lyophilisation seemed to be very less(>1g) considering the initial amount of gelatin used is 10g,the GelMA solution after adding photo initiator turns milky white after adding photo initiator

i have attached the protocol followed and the doubts that I had while synthesising GelMA
