In preparation of GO powder using Hummers method, I obtained GO in the form of small sheets. However, I need GO in powder form. I assume, if the reason behind this is improper handling of centrifugation products.
I am using the supernatant obtained from 750 rpm centrifugation to remove un-exfoliated GO particles and then discarding the supernatant obtained from 11000 rpm centrifugation. This way, I obtained GO in form of small sheets.
Can anyone suggest me if I am doing something wrong with supernatant or there may be some other reason behind this?
Dear Mr. Faisal I don't have set up for freeze drying. However, as per your suggestion I believe theoretically the concept of dispersing the paste in Acetone must work out.
I will try it soon and surely discuss the effects with you.
