Can anybody share their practical experience on CNT synthesis by the floating catalyst CVD method

Please consider that I have following facilities in my lab:

- Single chamber horizontal CVD furnace (1 m length & 5 cm dia. quartz tube)

- Toluene as C- source

- Fe salts/ Ferrocene in Toluene as floating catalyst

- Nitrogen is the only carrier gas

Please guide:

- Are those things sufficient for the synthesis of MWCNTs?

- I am also working to improve the source inlet system (currently manually injecting with syringe)

- At what stage the actual deposition of decomposed C- source starts to form CNTs

These things are sufficient for synthesis but you should be very cautious when you are purifying it after synthesis (although it is CVD process) because a lot of amorphous carbon and metal defects will be there with this synthesized MWCNTs.
