Multiple Resource Theory
In the multiple resource theory individuals are viewed as having several different capacities of resources, these resources are differentiated according to information processing stages (encoding and central processing or responding), perceptual modality (auditory or visual) and processing codes (spatial or verbal). These multiple resources were represented by Wickens (1992) as follows:
