NUmber of enrolled students may reflect size of university, which may raise local productivity through knowledge spillovers from university to private sector (university-led growth). Influx of students may raise local supply of labour, which may stimulate local hospitality industry. Etc. etc. So come up with a conceptual model and then literature search becomes a doddle.
