This is an image of Boehmeria glomerulifera . some fungal mycelium like structures were found in association with every inflorescence. Like to know about this association.
Need details of the organism in scrutiny. There are two important structures in the picture that I think would matter. First is the conspicuous "clusters" distributed throughout the leaves and in the stem, especially in the internodes, and the white, supposedly mycelial mat that extends from the lower part of the stem upward. And it seems to be connected with the "clusters." Perhaps, upload close up view of the structures and picture of the structures e.g. mycelia, under the microscope. Additionally, you can give data on your observations as to its occurrence, seasonality, frequency during humid and dry conditions and the like.
The above picture was literally taken last winter (December to exact). The clusters as you can see are basically the female flowers of that particular plant. The plant could not be collected as the area so spotted was beyond my reach. Thus, it's microscopic view was unable to be provided.
