Image 1 depicts a plant community. Therefore several plant appears in the image. Mikania micrantha of family Asteraceae can be seen at the left side in the image
Thank you for your opinion. Image-1 characters are not matched with Cucurbitaceae and Manihot. Characters found in this plant are – stem and leaves glabrous, underground large tuber present, tendril and stipule absent.
In image 3, plant leaves are absolutely alternate. So it may not be D. oppositifolia.
Is it D. cinnamomifolia ?
Image 2 Tacca is correct. In local flora only one species i.e. integrifolia is distributed in this State. Image 4 &5 Colocasia species is not confirmed.
In the link given by Dr. Arvind Sir regarding dioscorea , D. Oppositifolia leaves are 5 to 7 nerved and leaf characters are more matcehed with D. laurifolia. Few photographs are annexed for your kind perusal and further opinion. Regards… Dipti Das
